'I Prefer Cotton Candy'

The frozen feather light crystals landed on her pink tongue, melting into a small puddle. Fluttershy let the water run down her throat, and she let it soak her mane, grinning.

She remembered when she was a young, wobbly little foal trotting into her first snowfall. She had stuck out her tongue, expecting for the strange white flakes to taste like sugar, and was therefore more than disappointed to only get the familiar taste of water.

“I wish it was sugar,” she sighed, giving a sad glimmering smile and tilting her head to the side.

“I prefer cotton candy,” a snickering voice intoned behind her. It was no surprise to see a certain multibeast spirit lounging over a cloud when she turned, and it definitely wasn't a surprise when the floating flakes took the distinctive tinge of pink.

“Really?” Fluttershy sighed, smiling and floating in front of him. “Don't you think you cause..enough chaos at home? What with turning poor Angel into a cotton swab and making all my dishes turn into food..”

“Oh perish the thought~” he singsonged, rocking on his back in the air and reaching out with a talon to delicately touch the sugared fluff. “Your dismal life could use a little sprucing up, my dear.” He bent his head back, catching a few pink drops on his tongue. “Now THIS is snow worth opening your mouth for!”

Fluttershy only laughed, shaking her head and gazing thoughtfully into the sky, watching as the pink crystals descended elegantly to the ground, sparkling as they did. Catching a few on her tongue, she smiled. Cotton candy was better than sugar. Of course, she'd never admit that to him~

Well, after seventeen hours of work (yes, I am still bedridden, can you tell?), I managed to make probably the best MLP picture I've ever made. I'm just in love with the friendship I created with these two from "Broken Spirit", and (even though I have a holiday drabble in mind), I wondered what it'd be like for them playing in the snow. OR more so what it would be like for Fluttershy, having the snow turned to some kind of food.

(_{I was gonna put them in scarves, but I wanted them to be freeee! Also, will fix some screwed up parts of the lines tomorrow...damn, I hate resizing pictures})
