It was a moment of pure Déjà-vu when Vanellope pushed open the ballroom doors. The vast and formal room was pitch black, and the child fumbled for the light switch. Suddenly, a soft melody began to echo in the area, and light flooded the room.
His back was turned to her, wearing a black suit, she noticed. The pixie could only stare blankly for a moment, especially as he turned around. She couldn't help but let a giggle bubble up in her throat as she really looked him over.
The gentle smile on the racer's face morphed into a scowl. “And what is so funny?”
“You are,” she teased. “Couldn't decide to wear your normal pajamas and red booties or a suit?”
“Very funny, missy! Get over here.” He grabbed the little girl's mint glove and tugged her into the center of the floor with him.
“What is all this?” Vanellope laughed. “And the music? Is that why Sour Bill told me to get into one of my prettiest dresses?”
“Well of course,” Turbo responded. “Can't exactly dance in your old racing sweats, now can you? That's not what a princess does.”
“Dance?” the child blinked as the racer grabbed a hold of both her tiny hands.
“As I recall your father telling me, he actively tried to teach you to ball dance and you just couldn't grasp it. So I figured I'd give it a shot.”
The child giggled as she was lightly twirled in time with the music. Her brown eyes sparkled with nostalgic memories of her Papa and how he always used to do this with her. She rested her rosy cheek against the racer's chest and looked up at him.
“Turbo, can I ask you a question?”
“Shoot.”
“...Just where exactly did you learn to ball dance?”
A follow up and a mirror image of

had a thought that King Candy never successfully taught Vanellope how to ball dance and thus Turbo takes over that role and decides to teach Vanellope.
