'Don't be scared...'

Little Marigold's closest friend and who she looks up to as a big sister/mother of sorts is doubtlessly Fluttershy. The Pegasus pony spends a portion of her day trying to help the smaller and slightly younger pony to fly.

Little Marigold was born with defects - I guess you could say slight dwarfism and a gimped right wing; she can't fly very well or very far, needing to take many breaks since one wing doesn't like working too well.

Fluttershy knows this, but she also knows she can't always be there for the younger pony and tries to teach her to fly better with her defective wing. On the days where she's busy, she tries to get Rainbow Dash to teach her, but Marigold fears the brash pony and hides when ever she's around.

So Fluttershy remains her mentor and caretaker.

(I love the way I did Marigold, but hate the way I did Fluttershy. I can't draw Fluttershy. >> I know I should have added her back legs, but I didn't want to make the picture look weirder )

(Fluttershy calls Little Marigold's gimped wing her lucky wing - just like in "Finding Nemo" )
