A Moment Long Overdue

I know this picture is probably as confusing as it gets, so I'll try my best to sum this up in short form:

An RP that took place after "Our Reflections" (only, with my friend's OC Chuva added), Kirby falls deathly ill when playing in the rain. Meta Knight takes him to the village pleading for help, but to no avail. No one wants anything to do with Kirby after Fumu/Tiff's death. Fully aware Fumu's death and Kirby's leaving is all his fault, Dedede desperately contacts Holy Nightmare to get some medicine, and Kirby is eventually cured, residing in the castle with Chuva, Meta Knight, and King Dedede.

Finding Kirby's whereabouts, Nightmare sends out a demon beast to go after Kirby - and it's the same beast that killed Fumu. Desperate to make things up to Kirby, King Dedede takes a devastating blow by the demon beast, risking his life for Kirby.

Later on, Kirby goes to see King Dedede, tearfully cuddling up beside the wounded king, who quietly apologizes for everything that happened in the past, promising the tot he won't try to harm him anymore. And they finally make amends...

And after that, King Dedede unwillingly finds himself becoming another caretaker to Kirby, softening up a bit and not really complaining when stuck taking care of the child. Kirby grows to absolutely LOVE the king, and develops a hilarious fondness of hiding under the fold of Dedede's robe. (Like he does with Meta Knight's cape! ) And Dedede's more so affectionate-like name for the kid is "little one"

This picture took me through hell, as it kept saying stuff like "the scratch disk is full" if I so much as tried to copy and paste. -__- But I seem to have fixed it. ^^ Drawing this cheered me up a bit...

(Yeah, I love the Japanese version now. always liked them both, but the Japanese is the best.)
