100 theme challenge #52 - Lullaby
!!!! EEEEEEEEE!!!! I'm sorry, but I just CAN'T get enough of putting Shifu in his cubby vulnerability mode! 
He's just TOO CUTE!!
Anyways, a bit about the picture...As you can see, Shifu is badly wounded full of lash marks that he received from a rhino guard's whip in prison..(though his poor father got the worst of it
), and he's developed a deadly fever from being in the prison so when he and Koto were rushed to the doctor's they BOTH needed an injection. ....
Although the GrandMaster would never admit it, (though it's rather hard when people witness it for themselves), needles is his ultra phobia; his fear becoming so great it'd literally take over his mind and he'd KICK and SCRATCH and PUNCH and BITE and CRY....his poor master ending up black and blue trying to restrain him.. Once the doctor finally injects him, he BAWLS like a cub, crying nearly hysterically into Oogway. And his master sings him his special lullaby - that he, Koto, and Yin grew accustomed singing it to him when he was a cub - and rocks him, making him instantly calming down and curling up in the tortoise's arms. !!
You might find it weird that a grown man would be BAWLING and shaking like a baby, but when these two warriors are reduced to being beaten and abused, their rock facade obviously breaks when they're with the one that looked after them when they were cubs..
Because they wouldn't be ashamed to cry around them...
The next part is with Kurisu trying to console her messed up and freaked out Grandfather.

Excuse me, gotta comment ( and again sorry for my lame English, i am Brazillian, so i try... But it's hard... REALLY).
Anyway, this is just TOO Adorable... I feel sorry for Shifu, poor guy ( yeah, i hate needles too...
).
And, you see, i always liked Oogway, since the first time i saw him ( not as much as i LOVE Shifu... But, oh well...)... But, on the first movie, you can barely see him! He just appears in the beginning and then he dies! That is just too sad, so it makes me happy to see him taking care of Shifu like that ( poor Tortoise, kicked, and scratched, and punched just cuz of a needle... I can imagine his thoughts : " Inner peace *kicked*... Inner peace * punched*... INNER PEACE * scratched*...) and i would like to read your whole story ( it seens you have one, cuz i have been browsing around here... and found some beautiful arts of yours... and each one of them seemed to be part of a Plot...Gotta comment on then too, reminder to myself!)... So, am i right? and if you have, it is somewhere around here, right? ( I am a writer in training, so i love to read other people's stories... And your drawings have some kind of mystical power that inspires me to write even more! It is magic, i tell you... XD).
To sum it up, i really loved this drawing ,and specially the fact that Shifu is vunerable, ( I mean, him, THE COLD HEARTED RED PANDA in a "HUG ME PLZ" moment? That is just IMPOSSIBRU!) and i love it!
And Oogway's role in it was awesome too. I will go check your gallery, you made me curious and anxious to know more...
